Sallie McFague is a Christian theologian and professor of religion at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. She is also director of Franciscan University's Center for Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her research examines women's role in the church, the status of women in the gospel narratives, and how women relate to God. She has written extensively on these topics, including Creation Stories for Women (1993) and The Body Word: Discovering the Sacred in Everyday Life (1998)
She is the author of several books, including Good News for Women: Rediscovering What Really Matters (2005), and God is a Woman: Feminism and God (2012).
