R.S. Vernon (Ronald Stephen Vern, born 1938) is an author, educator, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He was raised in the small town of Alhambra, California. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from California State University at Northridge, and his MBA from Pepperdine University
He has worked as an engineer, an attorney, an executive with IBM, and a consultant with the U.S. Department of Defense. He also has experience as a public relations executive with Pacific Telesis.
His first book, The Way To Wealth: And How To Get It (1982), was the first book by a self-made millionaire to be published by Random House. His second book is called The Way To Wealth II: More Ways To Generate Wealth Through Real Estate Investing (2006) and his third book is called The Way To Wealth III: More Ways To Generate Wealth Through Real Estate Investing (2011).
