Reinhart Koselleck (born 1930 in Osnabrück, Germany) is a German historian and philosopher of science. He is the son of Gerhard Koselleck, whose main work was on the history of modern psychology. He studied philosophy, history and literature in Germany and the US and moved to the UK in 1971. He is an honorary fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge and a visiting professor at King's College London
His research has focused mainly on the problem of meaning and meaninglessness in science and philosophy, especially as it relates to quantum mechanics, but also as it relates to hermeneutics and post-structuralism as well as to theories about technology.
