Reechen Dorji's career as a writer and poet began in 1980, when he published his first poetry collection, "A Bardo of Poetry". His next collection, "The Last Morning of the World" (1983), is considered a major work in contemporary Tibetan literature. He has since published numerous poems and essays, as well as novels and plays. He has been awarded many prizes for his written work including the National Literary Award for Poetry (2004)
His most recent book is "The Eradication of Desire".
