Raoul Wallenberg was born on November 15, 1914, in Stockholm, Sweden. As the only Jewish member of his family, he was not allowed to attend school with other children until he was 14 years old. He then attended the prestigious Stockholms Gymnasium. During his student years, Raoul made a name for himself as an avid debater and excelled in both athletics and music
He also took courses in German and mathematics. Raoul graduated from Stockholm University with a degree in electrical engineering, but soon found that his interests were not so much with technical matters as they were with politics.
