Paul Tonko is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly representing the 24th Assembly District, which includes the municipalities of Richmondville, East Greenbush, Clifton Park, Mechanicstown, Pearl River, and Stuyvesant. He serves as Chair of the Committee on Local Government. He was first elected to represent this district in 2008. Prior to being elected to the Assembly, Tonko served as Chairman of the Stuyvesant Town Board
