Patrick Harpur was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1935. He is a highly respected writer and broadcaster, who is best known for his novels of espionage and the espionage thriller series. Patrick Harpur has been a journalist for more than fifty years. He worked at The Scotsman newspaper from 1960-62, at The Sunday Times from 1962-67, and at The Guardian from 1967-70
