Paloma Faith is an English singer and songwriter. She was born in London and raised in Manchester and Plymouth, England. Faith's career began when she released her debut studio album Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful? (2006), which featured the single "Baggage" and was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). She released her third studio album Fall to Your Knees in 2009, which went platinum in the UK. Her fourth studio album Fall to Your Knees: The Remixes was released in 2011. The album reached number eight in the UK and number sixty-seven in the US.
In 2012, she signed a record deal with Island Records. In 2014, she signed a record deal with Virgin EMI Records, through which she released her fifth studio album The Architect in September 2015. The album debuted at number one on both the UK Albums Chart and US Billboard 200 respectively.
