Nicola Chiaromonte is an Italian author who wrote the book "Wide Awake" about her experience of being awake during sleep paralysis. She was born in 1986 and grew up in Benevento, Italy. She received her degree in clinical psychology at the University of Padua and is currently doing her PhD in cognitive psychology at the University of Pavia. She started writing for magazines and websites at a young age and has been published in The Huffington Post, La Repubblica and Huffington Post Italia
