Neil Charles has always been passionate about music. A self-confessed "musical geek", he was inspired to write his first novel at the age of seventeen because he felt that everyone should have the chance to read about music. He went on to study music at university and gained a postgraduate diploma in music business. Whilst working as an independent musician, Neil wrote his first novel, 'The Face', which was published in 1995
Three years later, Neil received the prestigious Charles Dickens Award for his debut novel. Since then, Neil has gone on to publish twelve more books, all of which are available on Kindle; he also works as a freelance journalist and has worked for publications including The Guardian, The Independent and Jazzwise.
