He has published three books of poetry, including his first book of poetry, The Night the World Turned Upside Down, which was awarded the First-Place Prize in the "New Poets" category at the 2005 Ithaca Poetry Prize International Competition and presented to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad by the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression (ABFFE).

He is also the author of two collections of short stories: Habibi and The Borderland.
