Badrul Ahsan is a former Minister of Islamic Affairs in Malaysia. He is the leader of the component party of the National Front, Amanah, which he heads as its President. He is also the Secretary-General of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party which he heads as its President. He is currently the only elected member of the Parliament of Malaysia for Pasir Mas, Negeri Sembilan, and is a former Deputy Prime Minister in which capacity he served from October 1981 to July 1984
