Michi Trota was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on March 31, 1973. She first started writing at the age of eleven. At fifteen, she started working as a journalist and also carried on her education by studying English. Michi’s first published book was released by Alfredo Alcala, the President of Editorial Planeta, in 2009
After spending some time as an editorial intern at Editorial Planeta, Michi moved to Spain to work as an editorial assistant at Ediciones B. She is now based in New York City where she works as an editor for Ediciones B. Michi has received many awards including the Best Foreign Young Writer Award from The Society of Authors in London and The First Award from the Young Adult Journalists Association in Argentina.
