Melissa Amernick has been on a journey of personal discovery since the age of three when she left her native Hawaii to move with her family to Massachusetts. A lifelong love for reading, writing and acting led her to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre from the University of California Santa Cruz and a Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara. She later worked as a model and actress in Los Angeles, Boston and New York City before becoming a full-time writer and producer. As an author she has written five novels: The Pretty Little Thing (The Paperback Queen: #1), Off the Record (The Paperback Queen: #2), The Little Intruder (The Paperback Queen: #3), The Secret of Magic (The Paperback Queen: #4) and Once Upon a Summer (The Paperback Queen: #5)
