Maurice Duffy was born in Cork, Ireland and moved to England with his family in 1914. He served with the British Army during the war and after the war worked as a journalist in London and then in India before emigrating to New York City in 1947. He wrote many radio plays and television scripts for such shows as The Twilight Zone, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Twilight Zone Movie, The Fugitive, and The Outer Limits. In his more than 50 years of writing he also wrote novels, short story collections, plays, poetry, memoirs, non-fiction books, and song lyrics.
