Martin Keogh was born in Yorkshire, England, in 1951 and raised in Yorkshire and Ireland. He studied history and English at Cambridge University, where he received a PhD in 1981. His academic career has included teaching at the universities of Leiden and Oxford. He was an advisor to the British government on its official inquiry into the Iraq War
He is the author of fifteen books, including The Nazi Plan: The Attack on Pearl Harbor and America’s purchase of Bletchley Park, which was short-listed for the Samuel Johnson Prize for Nonfiction in 2008. He lives in London with his wife and two children.
