Marc Alan Edelheit is a writer of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. He has published short stories in the New Yorker, A Public Space, and elsewhere, and has written several books of poetry, including A Brief History of Killing (a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award), The Undone Alphabet (winner of the 1995 PEN Center USA Literary Award), and We Did Not Walk by Night (third place winner for the 2005 Bay Area Book Reviewers Award). Marc's poems have appeared in publications such as The New Yorker, The Nation, Poetry, and Ploughshares. He teaches creative writing at Syracuse University
