Luhraw is a poet, writer, and interpreter of ancient texts. Born in December 1998 to an English mother and a Burmese father, he was raised by his mother. He went to school in Burma and later studied in London where he graduated with a BA (Hons) in English & Philosophy. He then studied law at the University of London (Chancery Lane)

Luhraw joined the English Language Department at Chulalongkorn University as an Assistant Lecturer in 2012, where he started his translation work of the 400 year old poem "The Story of Kyaikhtin" (The Tale of Kyaikhtin). It was first released on 12 December 2014. Luhraw has also published two books on Buddhism; "Buddha's Teachings" (Oxford University Press) and "Buddha's Dhamma" (Thai Buddhist Publication Foundation).
Luhraw is currently pursuing his PhD at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
