Lesley Ann Warren was born in New York, and grew up in Fairfield, Connecticut. She attended Fairfield University and graduated with a BA in English and French. After college, she spent five years in Paris and London working as a journalist and actress. She returned to the U.S
and became a news correspondent for NBC News at WNBC-TV in New York City. In 1963, she moved to Hollywood to pursue her acting career. She starred in such films as The Wicked Lady (1964), Sorry, Wrong Number (1947) and Don't Bother to Knock (1952).
