Pierre Paulus Theodor Kronecker (September 27, 1823 – June 3, 1891) was a German mathematician, logician, and philosopher. He was the first to publish his ideas in a systematic form; he is considered by some to be the "founder of modern algebra". He made major contributions to group theory, measure theory, and combinatorics. He also formulated one of the oldest known counterexamples to the first-order Peano axioms
