Leonora Morrison was born in Huddersfield, England, on 2nd September 1866. She studied at Bradford School of Art and at the Bauhut School of Art, London. She exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists, and became a member of the Victorian Artists' Society. In 1890 she married the sculptor Arthur Chater
In 1896 she exhibited her work at The Royal Academy, where it won a silver medal. In 1910 she received a bronze medal from the Paris Salon. She died in 1966.
