L.B. Taylor Jr. is a veteran television writer, producer, and director who has been in the entertainment industry for more than thirty years. He began his career in 1981 as a writer for "Diff'rent Strokes," a popular TV show starring Gary Coleman
The show was a spin-off from the hit film "The Electric Company." Taylor went on to create a number of successful television shows including "Operation Petticoat," "It's Your Move," and "The Adventures of Superboy." The "Superboy" pilot episode was nominated for an Emmy Award in 1989. The pilot episode featured Christopher Reeve in the title role and aired on CBS in 1990, making it one of the longest-running animated shows ever broadcast on network television. Taylor is currently executive producer and co-creator of the syndicated daytime drama series: "Family Law" (Meredith) which features three generations of the Taylor family; Lee Taylor, Barbara Taylor, and their daughter Peyton Taylor; who are played by actress Ellen Burstyn, actress Meredith Baxter, and actress Valerie Bertinelli respectively. He has also created several other syndicated series such as: "Kevin Can Wait" (CBS) starring Kevin James; and "Hot Bench" (syndicated) starring Ben Bailey Smith and Chris Elliott.
