Lal Bahadur Shastri was born on January 21, 1904. He joined the Indian National Congress Party in 1930 and became the Chief Minister of the state of Uttar Pradesh in 1952. When India gained independence, he became Prime Minister of the country and did a lot for the country. He did many good things for the people and he died on January 11, 1966.
