Kirsty Greenwood is a freelance writer, editor and blogger. She was born and brought up in West London, studied English Literature at University College London, and worked for several years as an editor, reporter and sub-editor for various newspapers. Her first book, the "New Women's Fiction" anthology, was published by HarperCollins in 2005. Kirsty's second novel, The Last Summer won the Guardian Fiction Prize in 2011
This was followed by another novel, The Last Summer (2012). She published her third novel, The Last Summer (2013), with HarperCollins Publishers. Her fourth book, The Last Summer (2014) was longlisted for the Booker Prize.
