John Mason Good (1863–1946) was an American author. He is perhaps best known for his book "The Story of the Upper Amazon", published in 1902, which was the inspiration for the 1933 film of the same name. The film was directed by Roland West and starred Richard Arlen, Jean Arthur, and John Carradine, and was produced by Louis B. Mayer
It is now considered a lost film. Good also wrote "The Island of Blossom", a novel published in 1901.
