I think it would be more correct to say that mass movements are powerful, and therefore have the potential to do great damage or good. The United States mobilized in a way that could be called a mass movement to fight the Second World War—and so did the Japanese. Were those mass movements good or bad? I believe rudeness and arrogance, they would drive people away, that would only confirm their own prejudices. Our opponents don't recognize our good faith, but -and this is a hard thing- I think we must try our best to recognize their good faith..
