James Jeffrey Roche is a novelist. He grew up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., and received his B.A. from American University. His first novel, The Last Castle, won the Edelstein Prize for Best First Novel from the Jewish Book Council and was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction
He lives in Baltimore, Maryland with his wife and their three children. He is at work on a new thriller due out in 2009.
