Jack Bruce (born John Baldwin, on April 13, 1943) is an English musician and singer-songwriter. He first gained fame as the bassist for the British rock band Cream, with whom he recorded three studio albums. After leaving Cream in 1968, he formed the hard rock band Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band. With Robert Plant (of Led Zeppelin) on vocals, they recorded several albums together
After he left the E Street Band in 1980, Bruce went on to form his own band, Jack Bruce & His Band.
