Howard Spring is an American author who wrote more than 100 books for children and young adults. He is best known for his novels "The Story of the Treasure Seekers" (1941), "Beyond the Blue Mountains" (1947), "The Golden Horn" (1953), "The House at Pooh Corner" (1954) and "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" (1958). He also wrote many articles for magazines, including The Saturday Evening Post, Collier's, Cosmopolitan, American Boy, Life, Colliers, Reader's Digest, Family Circle, Look, Redbook and The Christian Science Monitor. He died in 1988 at the age of 74.
