Horia Sima was born in Bucharest, Romania. He is one of the best-known and most successful authors of contemporary Romanian literature. He is a poet, a novelist, a journalist, a translator and a literary critic. He has published four collections of poetry – Timpul – timpul – timpul – timpul – Timpul – timpul – timpul – Timpul – timpul – Timpul – timpul – which won several awards, including the State Prize for Science and Art
He also wrote two collections of short stories: Râs şi paraziţi (Rhyme and Parasites) and O anumită atmosferă (An Specified Atmosphere). In 1994 he published his first novel: Limita. In 2007 he won the Romanian Writers' Union International Award for his book Ceata înspre zor.
He is currently working on a new novel about which many details remain secret.
