Helen Smith is a writer and journalist with a passion for social justice and equality. She is the author of The Power of a Positive Woman and The Power of a Positive Man and co-author of the critically acclaimed Becoming: A History of Women's Spirituality in America. She is co-founder and editor of the online magazine Religion Dispatches. Helen is also the founder and editor of the annual "Religion Dispatches" book series, which includes such titles as Beyond Belief: A Science Fictional Account, The Dark Side: A History of Violent Faith, and Holy Terror: Jesus in the Military
