Goh Keng Swee (1916–2012), or Goh Kok Swee, was a Malayan Indian author, diplomat, and politician. He was the first Chancellor of the University of Malaya (1963–66) and was also its first Vice-Chancellor (1962–1963). As Minister for Education (1957–63), he established the Institute of Education (later renamed Universiti Sains Malaysia), which became the international model for innovative schools of education.
