Gilda Radner (1940–1989) was an American actress and comedian, best known for her work as a cast member on NBC's Saturday Night Live from 1977 to 1980. She also became a popular stand-up comic, and starred in the short-lived sitcom Gilda (1982). She was openly lesbian and died of ovarian cancer at age 47.
