Gene Wilder was born on August 29, 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He began performing at age 13 and by his early 20s had appeared in several Broadway musicals. Wilder began acting in film and television during the 1950s and went on to become one of the most beloved actors in motion pictures.
