Gene Kranz was born August 21, 1932, in San Antonio, Texas and was raised in South Texas and North Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Campbell University and his Master's degree in Technical Direction from North Carolina State University. Gene has worked as a Broadcast Engineer, Production Coordinator and Chief Engineer for the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service (AFRTS) at Fort Monmouth.
