Gary K. Wolf was born in San Antonio, Texas, in 1930. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1952 with a B.S. in Geology, and earned an M.A
in Geology at the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1966. After completing his graduate work, he moved to New York City where he taught geology at Brooklyn College (1966-1969) and Columbia University (1969-1970). He is currently completing work on a book about the life of Napoleon Hill entitled "The Emperor's New Clothes: The Amazing True Story of Napoleon Hill."
