Gareth Bale is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a winger for Spanish club Real Madrid and the Wales national team. He began his career at Southampton, but moved to Tottenham Hotspur in 2007. Bale was twice named the Professional Footballers' Association Young Player of the Year (in 2008 and 2011) and has won three FA Cups, two League Cups, one UEFA Champions League, one UEFA Super Cup, one FIFA Club World Cup and one FIFA Confederations Cup.
