Flemming Rose is the director of the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten and an award-winning film critic. He has been editor-in-chief of Jyllands-Posten since 1997 and is known for his controversial cultural and political views. In 2004, he published the Danish translation of his book The Tyranny of Silence, which was a response to the Danish debate on multiculturalism that followed a series of violent incidents in Denmark, including attacks on foreigners and a fire at a synagogue.
