Eva Brann was born in Dublin in 1985. She lives with her husband and two sons in Dublin. She graduated from University College Dublin with a degree in Gender Studies. She has an MA in Children's Book Writing from the National University of Ireland
Her debut novel, The Girl Who Wasn't There, was published by Dey Street Books in September 2011. The Girl Who Wasn't There won the 2015 Waterford International Children's Literature Award for Best First Book, as well as the 2014 Irish Children's Book of the Year. In 2016, she won the Patrick Kavanagh Literary Award for The Girl Who Wasn't There.
She is currently working on a new novel to be published by Dey Street Books in 2017.
