2 Quotes & Sayings By Ernst Moritz Arndt
Ernst Moritz Arndt was a German poet, novelist, and dramatist. He is best known for his satirical verses and witty parodies of Christian hymns and his two novels Der Einsame Millionär (1904) and Hundekopf (1906). His work as a novelist, however, is more significant as a vehicle for the expression of his philosophy of life. In some ways, his philosophy was a precursor of existentialism, but he also developed his own interpretation of German Romanticism which had been so influential in the first half of the nineteenth century
Like Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, he was a prolific writer who composed works ranging from short sketches to long novels.
