Eric Idle is a British comedian, actor, writer and musician. He played the title role in Monty Python's Flying Circus from 1969 to 1974, and has continued to have a successful career in comedy and voice-over. He also has worked extensively in film and television, including acting in several episodes of the British sitcom Blackadder and composing the song "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" for the Disney animated film The Lion King.
