She has won numerous awards for her writing, including the Agatha Award for Best Novel, the Crime Writers' Association's Dilys Crime Writers' Award, and the Romantic Times Book Club's Golden Heart Award. She is also a recipient of the 2009 Special International Honors from the Athenaeum Club for Literature and the Arts, where she was presented with their Lifetime Achievement Award for Writing.
