Don Luis Zavala is a highly-acclaimed author, adventurer, and philanthropist. Born in Mexico City, he was raised in a small town called Tepatitlan. In the early 1950's, Zavala became a successful businessman, owner of several successful nightclubs in Mexico City including "La Mina," "El Palacio" and "La Cava del Oro," which he transformed into a world-class entertainment venue. Zavala was named "Mexico's greatest live entertainer" by the Associated Press in 1959
In the 1960s he began a second career as a travel writer and ambassador for Mexico. In 1970, Zavala married his first wife, Esperanza Aparicio. They have three children: Luis, Blanca and Raquel.
He is currently married to Luz Maria Ramirez-Zavala.
