David Kofi Awusi a British-Ghanaian writer of short stories, novels and essays. His first novel, The Antipodes of Desire, was published in 1997 and has been translated into German, French and Dutch. He is the author of five other novels, including his latest work, The World's First Pasta Museum. In 2005 he was appointed as a visiting fellow at the University of Warwick where was a reader in contemporary African literature for three years
Awusi is presently on the faculty at University of California, Irvine where he is an associate professor of English.
