Craig Machen is the author of the New York Times and USA Today bestselling novel, Last to Die. His father was John Machen, a legendary trial lawyer and author who represented the families of victims of the Titanic and Orson Welles and was also a client of Hill & Knowlton. Craig became interested in writing at an early age. He graduated from Virginia Tech with honors in English Literature, then earned his law degree from Emory University
