Colley Cibber (1671 – 1757) was an English actor who spent most of his career at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. He is widely remembered for his comic roles in The Ladies' Resolve and The Provok'd Husband. He was also a playwright, writing two comic plays, "The Constant Couple" and The Provok'd Husband.
