Colin R. Davis is a British Conservative Party politician and former Member of Parliament for the constituency of Harrogate and Knaresborough. He was the only Conservative MP to be re-elected in Harrogate and Knaresborough at that election. During his first term as an MP, Davis served as a member of the House of Commons Treasury Select Committee and as Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Digital Democracy. He also served as a member of the Parliamentary Committee for Culture, Media and Sport and as a member of the all-party group for EU studies.

In 2011 he was appointed Parliamentary Private Secretary to David Cameron, with responsibility for European affairs. Davis was appointed Minister for Europe in October 2012, with responsibility for relations with all European Union Institutions. In this role Davis's primary responsibilities included making preparations for the UK's withdrawal from the EU.Davis left office in May 2014 following Cameron’s resignation as Prime Minister.
