Christopher Marshall is the author of the best-selling nonfiction book, The French Quarter: A History of New Orleans (University of North Carolina Press, 2012). He is a contributing writer for the "New Orleans Times-Picayune," where he has worked since 2003. He is also a frequent contributor to "Travel + Leisure Magazine," where he has written four articles on New Orleans. His work has appeared in "The Washington Post" and "Travel + Leisure Magazine," among others, and he has lectured at the University of Virginia's Miller Center
He holds a bachelor's degree in history from Virginia Tech.
