Christopher Janaway is a British writer. He was born in London in 1963. He worked as a journalist for fifteen years, specialising in science and science fiction. He left journalism to study for a PhD in History at Cambridge University
He has published five books of fiction, the most recent of which is The Burning Land, winner of the Guardian Fiction Prize. The other works are Fire by Night, The Blood of the Lamb, The Dark Angel, and The Long Shadows. He is married with two children and lives in Oxfordshire.
