Christian Smith, Ph.D., is research professor of sociology at the University of Notre Dame, and the founder of a five-year longitudinal study on adolescent friendship and sexuality called the Adolescent Project. He is a leading expert on adolescent development and sexuality, and a widely respected scholar on sexuality, social ethics, and religion.
